Attention all Shipwrecks! Here follows a couple of urgent communications on behalf of The Admiralty!
Practice Drills
Egged on by Danny McBryde, it is time for slumbering Shipwrecks to raise from their bunks. A practice session is likely to be annonced shortly. Stay on this frequency for further briefings!
2006 League's AGM
As you possibly know, the League AGM took place last week, with Captain MacCuaig nobly representing the Shipwrecks.
There are now some notes on the AGM outcomes, but you'll need to read them via the following links, as Telegraph Officer Taylor was too lazy to type them all out again in morse code:

Incidentally, League fixtures will commence on 4th May.

Pre Season Semaphore!

Shipwrecks Cast Adrift
Shipwrecks pre-season preparations were badly thrown off course by the news that their home port, The Ship Inn, has itself been decommissioned pending extensive refit.
Last Friday Shipwrecks' AGM therefore had to take place in the unfamiliar surroundings of the Snug Room in the Hole in the Wa' before proceeding to the Captain's Table at Daksh Indian Restaurant, where some star players were sprayed with Cobra Beer by over-enthusiastic fans.
The local CAMRA website suggests that The Ship is "temporarily closed for refurbishment" but the word on the poop deck is that it has been acquired by an 'investment company' who intend to convert it into a so-called 'theme pub'. It is not clear whether this outfit will be prepared to finance further voyages of discovery from the Kingholm, or indeed how far they will match up to our demanding ethical standards. So the Shipwrecks may need to find an alternative source of booty as well as a home port.
In an exclusive interview with "Saucy Sailor" magazine last week, Geoff Dean said: "Aye, aye me hearty, will keep a look out for it. If not afloat we will reharbour elsewhere."
Meantime the full minutes of the AGM are being transmitted by semaphore as we speak and will be published here when they arrive in a month's time. The Midweek League AGM looks to be on 2nd April, so please flag up any issues with our designated attache, Colin Taylor.

Scoff Off
For those that had not already gathered, the AGM planned for 8th March did not take place, as our esteemed Leader Geoff Dean was called away to a secret assignment at Smugglers' Cove on the same evening and will presumably return laden with booty.
The fatted calf has therefore been given a reprieve and will now not be slaughtered until after Easter. Hopefully this will be some consolation to crew members who are surviving on a diet of hard tack and Pursers' Rum.

AGM - Advance Warning!
![]() |
| Shipwrecks in AGM Training |
Date: Friday 8th March
Time: 19.30 hours (approx)
Location: The Ship Inn, Dumfries
As usual the AGM will be followed by a subsidised meal at a mystery location and a lengthy odyssey taking in various coastal hostelries.
Geoff also requests that all hands reaffirm their unswerving loyalty to the Shipwrecks' cause by agreeing to play again for the coming season.
Note: Being under age is no excuse for not attending the AGM as The Ship has a licence that allows juniors on the premises.
